Most of the songs in this book are on the easier side. For me, it was the book I picked up when I started playing again after 20 years. Some easy, some more difficult and all were a challenge for me in the beginning.

    Difficulty Level:
  • May 14, 2008 Many unknown artists

I usually like new age piano music, but many of the artists in this collection were unfamiliar to me. I was only familiar with Liz Story and she has only three pieces in the book. If you enjoy Liz Story, her "17 Seconds to Anywhere" collection is much more enjoyable...

to play. I also have many books that I enjoy more than this one. Save your money and buy a different book unless this one contains a title from a particular artist that you really want. I should have returned the book before my 30 days was up as the selections from the various artists (other than Liz Story) are not that interesting to play. I don't know if the transcriptions are accurate or not, but it doesn't really matter. The musical selections contained in this sampler are just not enjoyable to play. I truly doubt that I will play much from this collection. I have been playing the piano for many years and I would consider myself an intermediate/advanced pianist.

  • April 09, 2008 Not very impressive

I'm not impressed with this collection. Most of the music is too long to play for piano solos in most settings. There is not much variety. There are some great names - but they are not the artist's best work. I am also disappointed in the book itself - the...

pages are cut so that the print is too close to the center binding, making it hard to lay the book open and see all the music.

This is the best new age music I've seen in print. Very relaxing and comfortable. Some of the songs are a bit challenging to play and take a bit of work, but once almost perfected they sound beautiful. Highly recomend this.
