Composed by Anonymous. Arranged by Sarah Berry. Renaissance, Early Music, European, Recital. Sheet Music Single. 2 pages. Published by Sarah Berry (S0.745741).

This pleasant Renaissance-era melody was originally written for the lute. It was found in John Dowland's 16th-century lute book, and famed Renaissance composer William Byrd wrote and published his own arrangement called Wolsey's Wilde.

This solo is a faithful transcription of the original melody but has been arranged to make it enjoyable to play on the piano. Musical ornaments have been added to mimic the sound of a plucked string instrument. .
