This piece was originally a work to show off the trumpet stop on an organ. That brilliant sound has been replaced by the real instrument in this arrangement for 2 trumpets and organ. There is a slow introduction before the actual Voluntary in which the trumpets enter with their fanfare-like themes.

  • April 30, 2011 Wrong Score -- apparantly a PUBLISHER Error

    The physical characteristics of the music was FIRST/WORLD CLASS -- and the Customer Service Followup was as well .........h/ever there was a MAJOR DEFECT in that the horn score was NOT keyed correctly for the Organ part..........in the folio is mentioned that the Organ part comes in (2...

    ) diff. keys (( which it did not )) had it, this would have worked for us. M/N Customer Service tried really hard to resolve this -- to no avail. They get a 10 for their efforts, but -- unfortunately -- we had to "SCRUB" this selection as part of our Preparation For Worship/Preludial Music on Easter Day due to the defect. A refund was provided as well.
