    These compositions although well known are difficult to obtain thus the Schott editions covering all 12 is a great asset. The bass line is completely figured and the gamba parts included. These should be playable by students having proficiency in Suzuki book 4. The second violin gets a key role...

    and the many cannonical/offset type constructs are a delight to play and excellent practice for ensemble playing. Most of the 12 sonatas play well with only 2 violins. I also recommend Op 1,2 and 4.
