As an earlier reviewer pointed out, these are arrangements, but they have been edited nicely for range and technique of a younger performer. I have fond memories of singing from this book series back in high school. It's a great sourcebook for anyone who teaches students an introduction to...

    musical theater.

    Difficulty Level:
  • July 22, 2008 Not original score

I purchased this book/CD package only because of one song - Memory from cats. My voice teacher asked me to try to learn it. When I brought the book for lesson I was disappointed, because my teacher told me that that was not the original score: the tempo was different...

and some of the notes also. I believe my teacher because he performed in many musicals on Broadway, and he knows all of the songs by memory. So I returned it (the policy is good on that).
