I got the paper version of this music. I played several trumpet solos with our church organist and pianist...she liked it too. What I like is that is playable, simple, but profoundly interesting and exciting for both player, accompanist and the congregation. Althouse doesn't put ornamental fluff in...

there like other modern composers. All the notes serve a central purpose and has meaning. I wish he'd compose more a second sequel in the style of the first. My only complaint is we want more!
