This music has inspired me to return to the piano after 35 years away. Sorry for the noise until I can play this decently!

It was not exactly what I expected (repetitious patterns), but I was able to glean passages well enough to add to what I already play, and feel that I am incorporating a smidgeon of true Garrett style. The transcription seems accurate, and I did learn something from it. I expected...

more because it cost more than I usually spend on a music collection, and perhaps it wd have been better to have sounded out those passages and spent the money on a big rock book w/ many artists.

  • March 23, 2008 The Koln Concert Transcription- Superb

I first heard Kieth Jarrett's Koln Concert in 1975 on a vinyl record playing within my neighbor's sound system. They cranked it up, so I swore there was someone actually playing until I heard tha applause of hundreds of people within their house. I've been mesmerized with...

his style ever since. The transcription brings all the subtleties that made that concert magic. It is a pure joy to attempt to recreate that same music on my own. If you enjoy Keith's style and music, you will really enjoy this transcript as well.

  • March 20, 2008 It's the real deal.

If Jarrett was a prophet, then this is the scripture.

  • February 11, 2008 It's a MUST for whoever wanna see keith's world!!

I've been a big fan of him for more than 10 years. I played several phrases he plays just by listening to it and I thought I got them pretty close... But I was and still being amazed to know what he actually plays. It is a miracle what...

he creates. and sometimes even a very simple combination of a couple of tones creates a total keith's world. I still have a long way before I finish even one of his pieces in this sheet book, but, I am enjoying practicing so much. hopefully, maybe in 1 or 2 years, I will be able to play the entire part 1 and 2c.
