Ideal hymn accompaniments for festive congregational singing, and for performances by brass alone. Flexible instrumentation, with optional keyboard accompaniment, makes the arrangements adaptable to many situations. There are two versions of each hymn: the standard version found in hymnals in the common key, and a variation verse, with a free and interesting arrangement. There is also a trumpet descant book available separately that matches the arrangements. Songs include: All Creatures of Our God and King * All Glory, Laud and Honor * Blessed Assurance * Christ the Lord Is Risen Today * Come, Ye Thankful People, Come * Crown Him with Many Crowns * Fairest Lord Jesus * and many more.

This is a good selection for church brass players, some of whom are young and learning their instrument. Arrangements are perfect for short preludes or specials without the necessity of multiple practices. Would be nice to have similar Christmas arrangements.

I purchased these books for our quintet, and I do not think this is Candian Brass's best work. Most of the hymns give the lead to first trumpet, and unless you are playing lead, your supporting part lacks dynamics and creativity. I think that is why these book are...

relatively cheap to buy. Canadian Brass needs to update these arrangements to be more satisfying for all players

These arrangements are easy enough for our quartet to rehearse them Sunday morning and play them in worship. Each one has a standard verse and a variant. They sound good!
