This is a great beginner book. You cannot expect to play what you hear on the radio right out the gate. The Hal Leonard arrangement presents a solid start for those teaching themselves. You can find the melody with a nice treble clef balance.

It's an okay arrangement for a beginner who doesn't want to sing with their playing. Since the vocal melody is written on the same line as the treble clef in the grand staff it can become confusing. And the melodies aren't as catchy as the real ones...

. These are mainly all quarter and eighth notes. Overall, a disappointment.
