English.

Due to a lack of funds, James P. Pennypacker (a shady accountant) announces that he'll have to shut down "The Best Little Theater in Town." That's when the theater's owner Mrs. Goodman, popular director Cecille Deville, and the tightly-knit cast go into action! Two Narrators pave the way as they discuss the elements of a classic musical theater production in this fun-filled "play within a play." Watch the story unfold as this small town theater company struggles to make ends meet. There's plenty of drama, and more than enough comedy in this fabulous theatrical score and entertaining book. Why not make your stage "The Best Little Theater in Town" this year? Recommended for grades 4 and up. Also appropriate for adult performance, excellent for educational "children's theater" productions. Performance Time: Approximately 35 minutes. Staging Suggestions included.

Performance Pack contains: Director's Score (AP.23060), 10 Singer's Editions (2 x AP.23061). See individual items for detailed descriptions.

I'm playing Narrator 1 and I think it's a bit silly that the Narrators have all the lines. I think that there is more singing than actual speaking, but that the songs are well written. The script is somewhat cheesy...but aren't they all??

We are doing this play in May, and I am so excited! I got the part of Mrs. Goodman, and to tell you the truth, I am not the best of singers. I find the songs easy to learn and fun to sing, even for me. I recommend this play...

for any school, and I know that my production will turn out great!

I love the Best Little Theater in Town! In a week in a half, our school is doing it in front of tons of parents. My friend Lucinda has a beautiful voice and she has the part of Emily Best and she sings, "For Just a Little While" very well...

. My other friend Danielle plays as Connie Chase and she's singing in Save the Show
