    I've been teaching from this book for over a year. I really like it and have gotten a lot of mileage out of it with many different students. The wide range of genres covered here is what's great. And the melodies for the pieces are usually recognizeable and...

    great. Not every song has a knock-out arrangement, but by and large, it's really good. The other reviewer noted that there 6 year old son doesn't like the songs. Well, 6 is probably a bit early for this book, and besides, one kid's taste does not make this book poor. The book does it's job well.

    I bought this book for my 6-yr old son who is in the early intermediate level. He likes to play songs apart from he regular piano course books. But he doesn't like the songs in this book at all. Many of the songs in this book are like...

    church's songs (eg When the Saints go marching in etc) and old folk songs.

    My aunt bought me this book over ten years ago when I started playing piano and I still love playing from it. The description here says that it is for beginers, but there are a lot of more challening pieces for intermediate players. The pieces seem to progressively get more...

    difficult. The first pieces truly are for beginers, however, after that it get really good. Like I said, I've been playing for quite awhile and I still love playing from from this book. The young and older piano student will enjoy this one.
