  • June 04, 2007 A wonderful, swinging arrangement

We were lucky enough to have the thrill of singing this new arrangement by New York Voice's Darmon Meader, in Holland last summer, conducted by the man himself. It was an inspiring experience -- and it's such a great arrangement that we've decided to try tackling it with...

our own group back in England. As the previous reviewer said, this is a classic standard, enhanced by joyful harmonies and extended sections for soloists, making it top of the list for sheer singing excitement and pleasure. Just hope your rhythm section is as good as ours was...they really propelled it along!

  • March 30, 2007 Well worth the effort

Darmon Meader has created a super vocal jazz setting of the classic tune, "Taking a Chance on Love" with tight, four-part writing that will challenge your vocal jazz ensemble. This arrangement is difficult, but well worth the effort to learn. The "out chorus" is a "shout chorus" that leads...

to a thrilling "building" climax and a surprise ending.
