Well thought out. I use this book as a warm-up. Would like to see a book 4.

The SOE band method is easily the best of it's kind. Book 3 is one of the major reasons why. Mr.Pearson thoughtfully put together the third and final book. It features music from many different time periods, from the middle ages all the way to the pop and...

rock music of today. The pieces in here will open your eyes up to many kinds of music and many of them will most likely become favorites. I am glad Mr. Pearson included three works by one of my favorite composers, Claude Debussy. In the book the pieces included by Debussy are Prelude to the afternoon of a faun (a short excerpt using the whole tone scale), the sunken cathedral (used to demonstrate parallel motion) and Golliwog's cakewalk. The full band arrangements were also very well put together and sound great. Mr Pearson put a lot of work into this book and it shows.
