Great piece for a trombone solo at a competition. The piano part isn't too difficult, but it takes some practice. The two instruments sound beautiful together!

This is a German Baroque sonata, so it's not as light-hearted as an Italian Baroque piece. The opportunities are numerous for adding ornaments, and learning to play long but not in an exagerrated, "Romantic" way is something I learned to do on the slow movements here. The fast...

movements taught me more about "a dance feel", containing articulations that clearly show the phrasing. There is much to be learned from this challenging piece.
