time signatures through this work. The first movement shows of a more musical way of the timpani. The 2nd movement shows how to play in a jazz-feel and also how to play some intense parts using your hands. Closing up the work is the 3rd Movement where you experience time signature changes almost every measure. The metric Modulations in the #rd Movement are wild. I'm a freshmen and this is my first year on timpani, and this piece was awesome. Everyone was blown away when I played it.
