By Marks

2 Altos, Tenor and Baritone Saxes (2 Altos, Tenor and Baritone Saxes) - Grade 4
Composed by Marks. Arranged by Arthur Frackenpohl. Saxophone Quartet. Christmas. Score and set of parts. Kendor Music Inc #16220. Published by Kendor Music Inc (KN.16220).

Item Number: KN.16220

Every member of the ensemble gets a chance to play melodic lead at various points in this delightful setting of the popular Christmas song, and midway through an improvised-or-as-written solo by tenor is a definite treat. Maintaining good balance within the ensemble and observing articulations will yield best results. Duration 1:40.

This is a great arrangement. Each part is interesting and has it's own main part although the first sax does most of the hard work.

Its not too easy, but not too hard. It also writes out the rythms for the person who is not the standard jazz player, but who likes to play jazz. Overall A good buy.
