Libro recomendable, ya que es la única versión digitada. Murray Baylor tiene el aval de haber estudiado con Robert Casadesus y Nadia Boulanger. En cuanto a la edición: lindo tamaño del libro y es muy linda y clara la impresión.

  • August 10, 2015 NO COMPRE ESTA EDICION

el editor se dio el derecho de modificar completamente las obras para hacerlas ''mas faciles'' cuando en realidad siguen siendo dificiles y la intencion del autor se ha perdido. las ediciones alfred por lo general son buenas pero.... Murray Baylor no tiene idea lo que hace. the publisher is given...

the right to completely change works for them '' easier '' when in fact remain difficult and the author's intention is lost. alfred editions usually are good but .... Murray Baylor has no idea what he does.

I purchased this for my daughter after she heard another student perform a piece at a piano academy she attended. So far she is very pleased with the book and her teacher finds it appropriate for her skill level.

  • March 02, 2012 Great music Exellent help

I am a professional musician and I specifically bought this edition for the fingerings and pedalling suggestions, which are very helpful. Particularly Rachmaninov's editions, and also very good ones, are usually without any. This website is excellent as one could see the sample of the page. In my humble...

opinion every serious musician should have both: the Urtext, so to check and compare the composer's true intentions, and the practical editorial solutions with consistent and professional fingerings, pedalling etc. This saves a lot of time, even as a starting point for working out your own solutions. Also if one is going to have a lesson with a good (and probably quite expensive) teacher, it is better to have the clear ideas for what works (or not) for you beforehand, and be able to ask the intelligent questions. I have bought all Rachmaninov's Preludes by Editor Murray Baylor and think that it is excellent practical help and value for money.
