  • August 19, 2004 A TRUE "GREAT PERFORMER" EDITION

This compilation of Liszt's piano works is an example of a true "great performer" edition. In fact, Earl Wild suggest many alterations or modifications to the text to facilitate the execution and to extract a wonderful sound from the instrument. Wonderful!

These are wonderful--Earl Wild has done a superb job editing, particularly on "Mephisto Waltz No. 1." The featured pieces are some of Liszt's most exciting works.
