  • May 11, 2022 excellent selection

As a self-taught beginner who took up piano during the pandemic, I loved these choices of real piano music (in addition to the simplified versions of classics in the piano adventure series, supplemented by the masterworks for piano series). I probably would have started them earlier than midway through...

level 3a when I bought it.It also isn't arranged by difficulty, so be sure to flip through the book so you can choose appropriate pieces as you're progressing. (I'm confused by the levels: if you follow the "grade" system, these are all beginner pieces...but for piano adventures, they are consistent with level 3 or early intermediate)

I use this for my early intermediate students who are just diving into the classics. Great selection and enough variety to keep them moving forward in their studies.

The songs at the beginning are fairly simple but as you get further into it, they become more complicated. Good choice of music!
