    Difficulty Level:
  • November 11, 2017 Great Second Book

This is the second book in a fantastic multikey course. It should be preceded by the primer level. Each level in the course teaches three major keys, including the primary chords, scales, and key signatures. The Bastien Piano Library features more classical pieces that Bastien Piano Basics. The books are...

more conservatively illustrated. After level 4, there is an Intermediate Course, providing instruction through 7 levels. By level 4, the student will know all major keys and key signatures. This is an excellent core course.

  • March 03, 2009 Bastien's Piano Lessons Level 1

I purchased Bastien's Piano Lessons Level 1 for my beginning piano students. I like the fact that it teaches the I, and V chords in C, F, and G.

    Difficulty Level:
  • August 27, 2007 Great for beginners, no matter your age

slow -I don't mind the teddy bears- :) The suplementary books are important too, if you don't have songs of the right level to practice, you will get bored. BTW, "level 1" is the second level. To start form scratch you should go to "primer level"
