From the Music of Black Composers' Series, this multi-movement brass choir arrangement adapted from Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's orchestral Othello Suite, Op. 79 provides a technical and musical showpiece to highlight any performance.  Four distinct movements in this Suite include a driving Dance, melancholy Funeral March, languid Willow Song featuring a flugelhorn solo and a rousing Military March to conclude.  Every player gets an opportunity to shine and display not only their technical expertise but also their musicianship as well. The work is arranged for a brass choir of four B-trumpets with trumpet I doubling on piccolo B-flat trumpet and flugelhorn, 4 F horns, 3 trombones, euphonium and tuba.

“The Music of Black Composers Series is a welcome and timely addition to the brass repertoire. Interesting music, expertly arranged, fun to perform, and well received by audiences. These pieces are now permanently in my quintet book along with the usual Joplin and Waller, and I will be using them with my student groups as well. Highly recommended!” Wesley Nance, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Eastman School of Music
