  • January 08, 2009 THE olympic theme....

I got this score for two reasons; it's fun to follow it as you listen to the CD, and I'm an avid John Williams fan. I purchased this score in a package of 18 different signature editions. Let me say that despite the first section, which is the...

original work is in there, and yet for the CD recording, a different beginning was performed. But by the 13th bar, it comes back to familiar splender that is all John Williams as I have listened for so many years now. Since the quality of the content is beyond question, I will go on to say that the layout is superb, as usual, and I learn more and more about orchestration in general in pouring over the score/s as time goes by. The price was expensive, I have to admit, especially with the Aussie dollar so weak now days, but as a Christmas present will bring me intellectual amusement for a long time to come.

  • September 24, 2008 A seriously amazing song by J. Williams

I learned a lot abought composing songs for orchestras from this J. Williams sig. edition of this song, and it's worth the money that I paid for it. The over all chord progressions executed by the instruments in the orchestra create an emotion of happiness, but this is probably...

one of J. Williams best compositons. This is a really good song for musicians who play brass or string instruments, who want something challenging to practice. This song is is seriously not boring, infact it's very exciting to perform or listen to. If you are looking for a short song that's complete in feel from it's begining to its end, then this song is for you.

  • January 20, 2007 The Best!!!

My orchestra played a tribute to John Williams and this was one of my favorite pieces. I think its sound may even be better than some of his movie themes. This is an excellent piece that I highly reccommend!
