I am a fan of all the movements within Haugen's "Now the Feast", particularly I enjoyed the segue from the Kyrie to the Hymn of praise, "Now the Feast." The setting is very appropriate for piano (more so than organ, but can be adapted for organ easily), so this...

leaves several doors open as far as the way this liturgy is presented. The liturgy fulfills components of a standard order of service, including the Alleluia Verse and Lamb of God (which I particularly like). The closing canticle, "Thanks Be To You Forever" is a new take on the traditional "Thank The Lord and Sing His Praise" found in Settings 1 and 2 in the Lutheran Book of Worship. This setting really helps the congregation to appreciate the tradition of the liturgy with a lively order of service. This setting could be used in many different denominations, and I believe the text is both genuine and ecumenical in nature. Very meaningful music to me with fond memories. Make a joyful noise indeed!Happy Playing/Singing,Tyler

This is an alternate Eucharistic setting for the mass (works for Catholics as well as Lutherans). The music is uplifting and lively, and the 6/8 movements lilt gently back and forth. The movements are easy for a congregation to pick up. They key is easy, E-Major (nothing like...

that nasty E-flat Minor you get in Holden Evening Prayer). This liturgy set is well worth adopting. It's so nice to have several different settings of the Mass so that one may pick and choose.
