    If I could only teach piano for beginners out of one book, this would be it. Great into, duets, rate of learning, interest level across early ages. Have used it for 35 plus years.

    I love this book. I find my students work well with it. Even the adults enjoy it. They get through it quickly and feel a nice sense of accomplishment when done. Thanks for offering this book.

  • August 28, 2007 Great for Beginners/Kids

    I use this book with a majority of beginners especially in the 5-8 yr old range. The book teaches from middle C out on each hand and gives a lot of repitition of the first 3 notes on each hand in different configurations. Along with unknown songs there is...

    yankee doodle in the beginning which the kids work towards so they can play a song that everyone knows. Throughout the book there a handful of common familiar songs that everyone will know while the majority are exercises that have just been given names. I like the book as an instructor and the kids seem to like the book becuase they can easily accomplish the short songs and feel confident that they can read and play something for their friends and family.
