Performed by David Syme, piano Accompaniment: Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra Conductor: Emil Kahn This concerto, one of only two Mozart wrote in a minor key, is by far the most famous of all his piano concerti and is filled with profound music of the highest order as well as lively and charming themes. Among its later, most ardent admirers were Beethoven and Brahms. Demands sensitivity from the soloist, and is an important work for every pianist to study and learn. This deluxe version includes a slow-tempo practice version to help you get up to speed. Includes a printed music score on high-quality ivory paper; audio tracks including a complete performance of the concerto with orchestra and soloist, and a second performance minus you, the soloist. The concerto is voluminously indexed for your practice and performance convenience. Audio is accessed online using the unique code inside the book and can be streamed or downloaded. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows you to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right.

Oof. The intonation of the orchestra is simply dreadful in places. The outer movements are not so bad, but the Romanze is tough on the ears and even has a few sour notes.

The practice version is not that fast as another reviewer has stated once you have mastered the concerto. The metronome marking for the first part is about 123 and not at all stable throughout. This is what I do not like about this CD. Other than that I bet it...

would be a useful study tool.
