Composed in 1988 by Philip Glass, Metamorphosis is a collection of five solo piano pieces inspired by the novel of the same name by Franz Kafka. The music is typical of Glass's minimalistic style with simplistic melodies accompanied by repeating quaver patterns and drones creating atmospherical experiences. This arrangement for string quartet is ideal for the intermediate quartet. The pieces can be performed as a whole or as individual movements to meet your performance needs.
