Originaire de la ville de Pforzheim en Allemagne, le groupe Fool's Garden (Volker Hinkel, guitariste & Peter Freudenthaler, chanteur) est le seul groupe de rock allemand ayant reussi a produire un succes planetaire, et certains de leur titres caracolent regulierement en tete des hit-parades d'Asie et d'Europe de l'Est. Leur tube Lemon Tree (1995) est un succes intemporel. Compose en a peine dix minutes par Peter Freudenthaler alors qu'il attendait patiemment son amie un dimanche apres-midi, la chanson s'est classee numero un dans quarante pays.
