I love that I was able to teach this piece to my whole high school women's chorus. I do have a suggestion if you're looking at having kids audition for allstate or going to competition: teach all your girls the S1 part, as well as the parts you...

are assigning for this arrangement. Then all your girls will know the melody should you need to send them to auditions with this classic.

  • March 23, 2017 short, perfect serious piece

I LOVE the fact that I can teach this song to a whole class, so that they all learn at least one art song for their own repertoire. Of course, it's the first soprano part that has the original--but I made them all practice it. I had 2...

girls audition for All State with it. It's also short enough to be interesting on a concert but not boring.

What a novel idea--a classic art song arranged for SSA! I wish there were more of these for my choirs to be exposed to.

I plan on using this with my advanced women (high school) so that I can expose all of them to the classic Italian art songs, not just my festival/competition participants. It's also a challenging piece!

Absolutely beautiful! A perfect selection to introduce Italian in beginning SSA choirs or simply to enjoy with more mature singers.
