  • April 27, 2008 Gotta love Liszt!

I have been playing classical music for 38 years. I've always been intrigued by Franz Liszt, but always limited myself to the "easier" pieces. The first time I heard La Campanella, I was blown away. I thought it was a piece for four hands. Then I found out it...

was a solo piece. I had to have it! I was not dissapointed at all. It was as difficult as I had anticipated, however, I am determined to learn and conquer this particular piec of music. Go Liszt!

This song is very hard, but it is very pretty, and well worth the time put in to practice and learn it.

  • January 25, 2007 Great Performance Piece

A great concert and performance piece! I love this solo. But beware, it is very very difficult. Such a great accomplishment once you can play it though. I think it is even more difficult than Liszt's third Liebestraume. It is very fun but very technical. Once you master the...

fingerings and get the hang of it, and with lots and lots of practice, it'll be tons of fun to play and perform.

to the first reviewer: get some musical instruction. there are no "six note chords" or glissandi in this piece. as far as playability is concerned, this piece is very playable, otherwise it wouldnt have been in the repertoire of every pianist after liszt. dont attempt it until your teacher or...

method tells you, otherwise you will be disappointed at the results, as with every other difficult piece.
