  • March 14, 2013 A Lovely Set!

I sang this with Bob Chilcott in New Orleans a couple summers ago at a choir festival. It's a gorgeous set of pieces, not very difficult, that can sound great with or without the drum set and bass. It's fairly easy to learn, and has a lot of...

variety. My favorite songs are Piping down the valleys wild and The Divine Image. Rich harmonies as well as upbeat, fun ones too. I play the piping down piano accompaniment for fun all the time, and people like it a lot! I'd really recommend this for any treble choir - my choir only had nine people, and after the festival where we sang it with 100+ kids, we went home and sang it ourselves. I would definitely recommend singing it with a larger group, but it does work with a smaller group. It's something I enjoy singing, playing, and listening to, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to actually work with Bob Chilcott on it.
