Most people are familiar with the Gustav Holst setting of Christina Rosetti's poem, "In the Bleak Midwinter", where we are reminded that the king of the universe decided to give it all up for a lowly manger, and so that likewise, He will live in our hearts, no matter...

how unworthy. This setting, by Philip Stopford, is a haunting, beautiful new melody that acknowledges Holst but is something completely different. For one, it starts in minor (bleak) and ends in the relative major (heart), going between them in a way that augments the text. Each verse has different arrangement of voices that dialogue with the text.SATB, with splits in A, T, and B, but only the split in A is essential: the Ts when split double other parts and the Bs only split on a few notes. Easy to teach to inexperienced church choirs, assuming at least one ringer in each part.Piano accompaniment.Look it up on youtube.
