  • August 20, 2007 A better draw than another Messiah

    ANYone directing a good Community or Symphony choir should consider programming Hodie and Fanstasia on Christmas Carols. The Hodie is a much better retelling of the Christmas story. The music is more modern and more dramatic, but it's Vaughan Williams so it is always lyrical. There are some conductor...

    challenges the first (and most famous) being right in the beginning....but otherwise, if you are looking for something better than a tired of rendition of Messiah....Program this!
