  • April 17, 2017 Very Nice

I played this piece years ago (about 4 decades ago, I suppose), when I was in high school. It was one of my favorite performance pieces. I enjoyed it so much that I bought it again to play now that I am retired and have picked up the trumpet again...

. It is fun to play and quite enjoyable to the audience. I believe that this is a standard part of the intermediate repertoire.

  • February 07, 2010 Nice piece!

This is a nice piece for someone that has been playing trumpet for a few years. It has a few stylistic parts that even the advance player can get some value out of. It is a popular piece that audience will enjoy and identify. Great piece if you are doing...

a recital and need a not so challenging piece to take up some time. The first, second, and final movements are actually very fun to play, and offer the tiniest bit of a challenge. The first movement even makes for a good opening piece, for a recital.
