This music is a great way for people to dive into more modern music. Hindemith takes the original tunes and creates beatiful music for the viola (and orchestra).

I bought this for my daughter (Master's of Music Performance major) who requested it for her birthday. It was perfect. And the delivery was speedy.

The violist must enter into the spirit Hindemith intended when he wrote the piece. You are a wandering musician improvising on folk tunes and having fun doing it. This is NOT Beethoven!! It is Hindemith in sort of a playful mood. Can't help wondering why he didn't call...

this his 3rd viola concerto since he numbered one and two. I would like the more traditional Italian playing instructions rather than the German he used. Even English would be a pleasant change.
