This is a great concerto, but it's pretty hard to play. I'm only playing the 2nd movement right now (it's easiest!), but I'd like to be able to play the 3rd movement eventually. The arrangements of the orchestra's part in this edition are very good...

. I would, however, suggest finding an arrangement for 2 hands if available.

  • February 04, 2008 Very accurate and excellent edition

I have purchased all five of Beethoven's piano concertos, and definitly thought this was the most accurate edition I have yet seen. Even though they are transcribed for two pianos, it is possible to further condense them into a playable version that is similar to the full performance. Beethoven...

is my all time favorite composer, and as an amateur virtouso pianist, I would recommend these and any other of his piano works you can find - especially this particular edition.
