I had the opportunity to play this wonderful horn concerto by Haydn years ago. For the most part, the horn part does not go too high except for the cadenza in the 1st movement. The second movement is very lyrical and the third movement, although challenging, is fun to play...

. Since Haydn's 2nd Concerto goes into the low range in a couple of places, it's very helpful for the horn player to have a well-developed low range. Nice piece to play on horn.
