You can approach this concerto with a jazz swing or you can focus on the impressionistic aspects of the work. However this is an absolute fun concerto to play. It's like Rhapsody In Blue meets Ravel. This concerto has the perfect hint of jazz. Is showy to pull off. And a crowd favorite. I highly recommend this for all aspiring pianist to include in their repertory.

I bought this score for the beautiful second movement....only a couple of pages. It was worth it! It is SUCH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC.

all, flashy fast passages, the second movement is beautiful beyond belief and is a very substantial piece of music on a whole. Overall, this song is a great one for people who love music. Although extremely difficult, it is totally accessible with major hand stretches or incredibly long intense passages. I would highly recommend this piece to any and all pianists (the accompaniment is extremely difficult as well).
