This piece has lovely melody, lot of rhythms, and it is played in all positions (although mostly the higher ones). I have been playing for 6 years, but started taking lessons only now, and found this piece nicely challenging. The piano part is also nice, but it should more likely...

be called "Duet for Bass and Piano" because, although bass does have most of the melody, you need a really good accompanist, since the piano music is quite challenging and has lots of solos. The only bad thing about this piece is that the measure numbers in the piano score do not line up with the ones in the bass score for some reason. However, this is not a major problem, and can be resolved quite quickly! Otherwise, I really love this piece! It does take a lot of work, but sounds beutiful when played right! (Just for reference, on a certain scale [I forgot which], this piece was graded a 4 out of 6.) :-)
