Telemann's organs works pay tribute to the contrapuntal art of the High Baroque while pointing to the age of Gluck, Haydn and Mozart in their emphasis on melody.
Easy to play, Telemann's organ music strikes a masterly balance between traditional stylistic elements and those of the burgeoningstyle galant.

His settings of the chorales were, frankly, puerile. I guess composers have to start out somewhere, but these lack any musical interest and, in my opinion, should not have been published, especially in such an expensive edition. I had to return it.
