Johann Friedrich Burgmuller (1806-1874) was born into a German musical family: both his father and brother were also well-known composers. Settling in Paris after 1832, his light and intimate playing style won popularity in the salons of the day. Originally titled 25 Etudes faciles et progressives, composees et doigtees expressement pour l'etendue des petites mains, his Opus 100 pieces are perennial favorites among piano students and their teachers. Editor & recording artist: Margaret Otwell

This title has selections that range in difficulty from SMP Level 3-5.

I've used this for all my students for over 21 years now. It develops their playing abilities to such a high standard that students are capable then of playing absolutely anything in each examineable grade for the AMEB. Due to each of these studies containing more advanced technical skills...

students can then play everything else much easier. Students love knowing they are so advanced for their grades and thoroughly enjoy these studies and to know they're developing more advanced skills each year.
