GREAT arrangements performed by a fantastic artist. Although the basic notation Boots plays is there, his style of interpretation will seldom be duplicated. It does however encourage the average player to perform with his ease and expertise. Many more such selections by this man would be greatly appreciated.

The book/CD Nashville Classics is a great lesson on style. Most of the notes Mr. Randolph plays are written in the book, but his style is one which is a great study for any sax player. Like I said, the notes are written, but Mr. Randolph's interpretation of...

straight to swing in the same measure is the style I'm talking about. When I was young, and learning to play saxophone, my father used to tell me, "you have to play the music as if you are not reading it". That's what Boots Randolph does. He plays from the heart! Great purchase!! Mr. Randolph, please publish more books with CD.
