The famous Arban duets are now available in a complete edition – and you decide which part you want to play. This is a must for any serious trumpeter, a vital part of the development of a mature performer. Includes a printed music score, with both primo and secondo parts; and recordings featuring each piece in split-channel stereo: by lowering either the left or right channel, you can eliminate the primo or secondo trumpet part of the duet and play along.

Performed by Harold Lieberman, 1st trumpet

Accompaniment: Harold Lieberman, 2nd trumpet

A MUST HAVE if you are studying with Arban! No, this does not contain all the Arban duets, but there is PLENTY to work with. This is a great Arban supplemental. It is very helpful to hear the phrasing of these passages, and then keeps me honest when I cut...

out the 1st trumpet. My teacher really likes the progress I've made since I started using this recording.

This cd is misrespresented. It contains only 44 of the 68 duets in the Arban book. The last 24, are excluded, which robs you of the more advanced ones. You get the baby stuff instead.

CD contains 45 of the first 48 duets. What happened to the last 20? This CD is for advanced beginners.

The century old Arban method has always been one of the best ways to develop technical proficiency with the trumpet. In addition, the duets sound good, and some of the pieces even sound superior - once mastered. The split sound track lets you play either first (actually the easier of the...

voices) or second (requires more "listening"). I recommend the Arban Method for any serious student of the trumpet. If you can't find a partner, this recording is the duet. Enjoy!
