About Kristine

Kristine Johanek has a Master of Music Education Degree with a Kodaly emphasis from Silver Lake College, and a Bachelor of Music Degree from Coe College. She resides and works in Central Wisconsin. Kristine writes music for a variety of instruments, voices and ensembles. In her positions as a public school music teacher and church musician, she creates compositions that balance accessibility and challenge for students and volunteer musicians alike. Handbell (or Tone chime or Hand chime) compositions for two octave sets are appropriate for educational, performance or worship uses. Vocal arrangements, African style drumming compositions, classical guitar pieces, instrumental ensembles and piano solos have all found audiences in schools, churches and other performance spaces!
