This adaptation is not as ‘rocky’ as the original, but it still packs some punch.  Uses pizzicato, hooked bows and plenty of dynamic contrasts.  The melody is passed between Vln. 1 and Vln. 2 , never go out of 1st position and many times use a ‘vocal-type’ harmony. (this is where the harmony is ABOVE the melody!)  Some eighth-sixteenth patterns and dynamics will run from p to ff. 

Great piece to feature a quartet at a lighter, pop concert or add to your professional library.  Grade 2+  Key of G
