For SATB choir. Gloria in excelsis Deo combines rich polyphonic textures and contrasting moods to create a powerful contemporary setting of the Gloria using the traditional Latin text. The colourful work can be sung as part of a liturgical service or in concerts featuring contemporary sacred repertoire. 

The work was awarded in the Florence International Choir Festival, 2nd International Competition of Choral Composition 2015 'Ennio Morricone' and forms part of MacKinnon's full Mass for the Spirit.
