This short work for handbells (also in a version for four horns, and for piano one hand) was originally written as a centenary tribute to the great American composer Aaron Copland (born 1900). The work makes a brief reference to Copland's famous 'Fanfare for the Common Man' before developing its own sense of line. Harmonies are created by sustaining melodic notes in the manner of bells. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for virtually any standard of handbell player. The piano one hand, and four horns versions of this work are available for purchase via Sheet Music Plus.
Duration: 2 minutes 00 seconds.
Registered with PRS (Performing Rights Society, UK).
