This beloved Christmas hymn is given a lovely lift. Work is scored for piano, viola, cello, and double bass. The higher strings take the fourth measure of the melody in octave doublings, while the double bass adds a nice bottom end to the arrangement. It opens up with a nice piano introduction that leads into escalating strings. While work is of the intermediate playing level, some melodic runs require some finger work. Would work great for possibly a small Christmas concert at possibly a Christian college or a church. Available for digital download. MP3 sample of work is included.
